In response, we identified a gap in the market for environmentally conscious business owners seeking creative office spaces with on-site production facilities to minimize travel to London. Our commitment to sustainability is more than just words; it’s backed by tangible actions. We undertook a major retrofit project on a derelict factory, implementing whole life cycle carbon procurement criteria in design and reusing bricks and carbon-intensive concrete onsite. Carbon-neutral sources, such as thousands of scaffold boards, were utilized for internal cladding. Situated on an 8-acre brownfield site with a rich industrial heritage dating back to the 16th century, our goal is to innovate continuously, striving to become one of the lowest carbon emission office spaces in Surrey. At Tannery Studios, sustainability is not just a choice; it’s our legacy.
Tannery Studios has parking for over 300 cars as well as space to receive large shipments from vehicles including HGV turning.
Located half way between Woking and Guildford in Surrey, Tannery Studios is a 5 minute drive from the A3 and 10 minutes from the M25 with quick access to Gatwick (30 mins), Heathrow (35 mins) and the South West and London. It is a short bus, taxi or cycle ride from Woking station. London Waterloo is 25 minutes from Woking train station with 4-6 trains an hour.

- Based on Send Parade (a ten minute walk from Tannery Studios), Astalet Cafe is an independent, family-run coffee shop that serves a selection of breakfast and lunch foods
- Based 1 mile away from Tannery Studios, The New Inn is a popular dog friendly pub/restaurant serving a range of ales, wines, and spirits alongside a menu that combines classic pub food, a monthly specials menu, and of course, The Sunday Roast.
- The Seven Stars is less than a mile away at the end of Papercourt Lane on the Ripley / Pyrford road and is run by the same management who run the Running Mare in Cobham.
