Something Big is a creative communications agency focused on delivering creative solutions that solve business challenges for both internal and external audiences. They understand commercial challenges and know how to use creative to move the dial on business performance, whether you’re engaging employees or talking to customers.
Founded by Nick Butcher and Sally Pritchett 20 years ago, they are now an award-winning agency with a team of creatives, designers, copywriters, web developers and account managers working with national and global brands. A selection of their clients include DHL, Hertz, the University of Surrey and The Royal College of Midwives.

Something Big were one of the first businesses to move in to Tannery Studios and they’ve quickly settled in to their modern offices and enjoying the surrounding countryside.
“Tannery Studios is a fantastic building, newly renovated and fitted out in a way that’s sympathetic to its industrial heritage but with 21st Century amenities, not least the lightning-fast broadband speeds,” says Creative Director and Co-Founder Nick Butcher.
“The location is pretty special too. It’s a canal-side building with great views to the rear. It overlooks meadows and feels connected to nature and wildlife. There are horses grazing and swans and other birds that make the canal and the adjacent River Wey their home. There are some great walks to be enjoyed on your doorstep. You begin to really appreciate the different seasons here – Summer in particular, with all the boating traffic on the canal.
It also has easy to access from the A3/M25 and both Woking and Guildford are only a short drive away. There’s plenty of parking too. The onsite staff here are all really friendly, helpful, and willing to help out and assist with any issues.”
Something Big takes an agile approach to the logistics of their place of work. All team members are able to work remotely, whilst also having the opportunity to enjoy a workspace where they can collaborate, meet with clients and benefit from the superfast internet connection.
They use their office space in a flexible way, with the team able to book their desks on the days they want to come into the office as opposed to having their own set desks. This enables them to optimise the space they have available and gives employees more choice in how they work. The team value a mix of remote and onsite working, for variety, a change of scene and to enjoy the facilities and surroundings.
